We all had a great time thank you and journey home was good. The place was brilliant, the best so far…. we've been hiring self catering houses over Christmas for 12 years now! Pete, what can I say...we have just had the most amazing weekend for my 40th birthday, with friends and family. The house is stunning and facilitates absolutely every possible need, from fun and frolics, to cooking, relaxing and sleeping...the beds are so comfy. The weather was not great, but even so we managed a walk down the hills and still got some amazing pictures. I cannot believe after booking this way before the house was finished that it is now all over. Your help with everything and replies to my constant questions, plus Barbara's assistance was very much appreciated. I truly hope we can come back....I'm trying to persuade the hubby to do so for his 40th, which is also summer !!!! Thank you so much Love Faye & her other 28 guests x

Wow! Came and stayed at The Mermaid Inn, 10-13 June 2011. It was amazing. The facilities were spectacular and the views just took your breath away. There were over 20 of us celebrating a birthday of a friend, the Mermaid was the perfect venue to meet old and new friends. It's relaxed bar area gave the whole place an informal feel so we could mill about and have a chat, playing pool and table footy and as the evening wore on, any inhabitions, were soon lost on the Karaoke! The boys went Shooting at a nearby venue and the girls were pampered by a company that our host had booked. All supplies were delivered by Tesco and local butcher on the Friday and a chef came on Saturday and Sunday to prepare Dinner and Sunday Lunch. Our hosts made sure we were well looked after but the venue made the weekend a memory I will treasure forever. I can't wait for my next big celebration as I will definately be back!! Karen

We had an amazing stay and such a lovely place to gather together. The house is lovely with fantastic views and everyone was thrilled with the layout, the bar and the ability to sit all 34 of us for cooked breakfast in one sitting. Some great walks from the house too and we covered a fair few miles in the 3 days from 4 year olds to ??year olds!!

Hello Pete - just returned from our stay at the Mermaid property and wanted to thank you for the experience. It is very impressive and an excellent venue for a large group to spend time together. A lovely place to spend our 25th wedding anniversary with all our family. Fantastic views and big enough to get lost in! We really enjoyed the bar playing pool & the Karaoke. Had a lovely sit down meal served by outside caterers.
