We're in the Peak District National Park within easy reach of the towns of Buxton & Leek, as well as countless other smaller villages.

The Mermaid Inn is easily located. We are located off the Buxton-Leek Road (A53) near to the village of Thorncliffe. If you have Sat Nav using the postcode should take you there.

It's the only property in the area, and an imposing stone building at that, so you’ll know it when you see it (we also have 2 blue signs outside at eye level in the large car park)

From The South (Leek)

If you are travelling along the A53 from Leek, turn right at the Moss Rose Inn following signs for Thorncliffe / Warslow. Continue straight along that road for just over 3 miles (going through Thorncliffe village) and keep on going until you find an isolated large detached building on the left hand side of the road.

From The North (Buxton)

Alternatively, if you re travelling south from Buxton head down the A53 and turn left just after the Winking Man Pub and follow the road for 2.5 miles (keeping right) until you find us on your right.
